Centenary United Methodist Church celebrates a grand re-opening on Sunday, February 13, 2021, at the 11 am worship service, to commemorate their Transformation on Fifth $6.6 million renovation project. The project included a complete renovation of the East Building, the fourth floor of the Central Building, a new central elevator and refurbishment to the remainder of the Central and Sanctuary buildings, covering a total of 97,000 square feet of space. The revitalization of these buildings allows the church to better welcome and serve the community, to better accommodate Centenary’s current and future ministries and to position Centenary to achieve its vision for the future. Representatives from all ministries of the church, invited guests, and the congregation will be present. Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. P. Glenn Kinken III states that “this renovation will allow us to renew our vision of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” The consecration of the buildings will be held in the Sanctuary followed by touring of the renovation.
