THE CHOIRS OF CENTENARY
It is the mission of the Centenary Choirs to joyfully lead and facilitate each worshipper’s encounter with Christ Jesus by singing well-crafted music with great theological integrity. It is dependent upon an earnest commitment and active participation in an environment of mutual love and respect as a family of faithful friends devoted to serving God in Christ, Centenary United Methodist Church and one another.
The Chancel Choir
The main adult choir here at Centenary provides musical leadership for the 11am Traditional Worship service every Sunday and has rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm – late August through early June.
The Chamber Singers
This is an auditioned group that performs special concerts and services throughout the year. Contact Jonathan Emmons for more information and to request an audition.
Serving as the adult handbell choir, this group meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm and provides musical leadership in many of the worship services throughout the year. The Carillonneurs also provide musical and spiritual outreach to our local community through concerts around our city and our region.
The West End Ringers
For Middle School and High School Students, this group meets from 5:30-6:30 pm and aims to further develop the musical skills and artistry of the young musicians. The ensemble provides leadership in worship several times a year and also attends annual handbell festivals
in the region.
