Centenary Building Timeline

To clarify the business of the May 24, 2016 Charge Conference and the steps following a Charge Conference approval, here is a timeline outlining a path toward renovation project discernment.  Also shown is who has approval authority at each step. This process could take up to nine months.

I. Recommend exploring the formulation of a major renovation proposal of existing facilities of Centenary UMC. Under consideration are renovating 3 floors of the 1960’s Building, 4th Floor Youth Ministry Area, 633 Building, and adding an entrance/drop-off to the 1930’s Building.

II. Request authorization of Advanced Concept Drawings to be developed following the Design Development Process Timeline including the creation of a Renovation Design Committee.

III. Authorize funding from the Centenary Fund for both Advanced Concept Drawings and a Feasibility Study up to the following aggregate amount: $80,000.

Numbers refer to the United Methodist Building Process.
